buses - YES there is a bus to Yarmouth!
This bus service seems to be a little known "secret" but it definitely
does run between Yarmouth and Halifax and will make stops in
between.  

Travels from Halifax to Yarmouth via the South Shore.  Call Trius Tours
on 1877 566 1567 for info - approximately $61.00 (cheaper for a return
ticket).  Stops at Rodd Colony Hotel in Yarmouth across from the
Visitor's Info Centre on Forest Street.  For timetables check

Acadian Bus Lines operate from Digby to Halifax via the Annapolis
Valley.
