"I learned that the rest of Canada's music communities would do well to tear a page from Music Nova Scotia's handbook. You gotta know where you come from to know where you're going. Anyone who is a musician from Nova Scotia knows exactly what that means."

Cape Forchu LighthouseCycle, drive or even walk to the Cape Forchu lighthouse, located on 17 acres you'll discover lots about our history and enjoy fabulous scenery at the same time. Remember though, it is the Atlantic so weather can change quickly so dress appropriately. Walk around the rocks and visit the lighthouse museum to catch a glimpse of how life used to be in this area. Take a picnic or visit the little cafe for lunch, afternoon tea or a sweet treat (especially if you cycled!) PS it's a long walk to the lighthouse from here but a few intrepid travellers have done it.
On the way stop off at False Harbour Beach or John's Cove beach. Climb the rocks at the end of John's Cove Beach for great ocean views and some sheltered sunbathing. Take a dip in the Atlantic if you dare!
Experience the taste of Nova Scotia! On the way to the lighthouse, stop off at the lobster pound where they'll give you a mini tour of the pound & help you pick out your own lobster. You can purchase them either live or cooked and either eat it right there or take it with you...either way, it's delicious.
